So the next Toyota webspecial is online, for the new Prius. We were asked to create a turn, an interior panorama, and some animations for the parking assistant. The environment was designed by one of our artists, based on a design scribble he did. One of our collegues flew to Dubai to shoot some pano images, which were used for the final mattepainting. The idea behind the environment was to have a modern city next to a fully untouched nature landscape. After our matte artist finished the 20k painting, I took the psd file into Nuke, broke it up into several layers, and used the 3d environment to create a cycle view of the image.
