I am very proud to announce that I was part of the OSCAR winning VFX Team of the latest Scorsesee Movie – HUGO
Even more so that I was working on some of the major shots of the movie, including the massive virtual camera move into the train station, which opened the film.

I recently finished compositing 11 shots doing a documentation for the Max Planck institute. I was asked to integrate futuristic displays and a hologramm. The job was tricky, because we had no information from set. So I used Pftrack to do the 3d matchmoving, then the composite was done completly in Nuke, using the 3D system to match the CG elements. For the roto work, I also used Nuke. Some of the hologramm action was composited in Shake, then rendered out and integrated in Nuke. If you want to see more check out the quicktime file here …
Test Shoot with my Canon T2i in the nice springtime around Salzburg
Here is my first test shooting using my new EOS550d. I walked around munich together with my buddy Daniel shooting this little video.
For this project I had the idea to produce a short TV spot, featuring a running football shoe. I wanted to reproduce the look of the cool nike and adidas spots. So our team started to organize and plan the whole shooting. We had one day for shooting in the local football stadion (EM Stadion). We had a dolly, a betaSP camera and me as an actor. I played the goal keeper, who trains himself with the nike shoe.?Shooting went fine, so we came back to the FH where we shot the flying ball in front of a bluescreen. After…
